Nice gun, should be more like 400.00 but It shoots well and man did i get some looks at the range when I pulled this think out of my bag. I only wish it was legel to have the 22 rd magizine, thanks N.Y. I did get some jams and a couple of double feeds but someone told me to break it in more and it should be fine. I would buy another one.

Just bought one of these to add to my collection, All I can say is out of all my 22cal rifles this is far the best one I have came across!! No jammin no problems with it feeding, just a very awesome gun and light weight too!! Stuck a tactical scope on it and made it even better!! Would buy another one!! 10 stars+

Saw this gun]GSG-5 SBD[ at a local sporting goods store on sale for $379.99. It looked cheap, just sitting there on the shelf, but once i held it I had to have it! It was hefty and solid. Felt good in my hands. Have shot roughly 1000 rds, only jammed on me twice. Shot both federal and remington ammo. Jammed both times using the remington ammo. Bought a red dot scope for it but have nt had time to zero it in. Looks wicked though, a very fun and economical shooter!

I saw a guy and his kids out at the range a few weeks ago with one of these and they were having a blast even in the cold. They let me shoot 3 magazines through it and I was impressed. They didn't seem to have any problems with the gun but some of their rounds were duds. But it fired 60 rds for me without a hitch and their ammo looked pretty old and was a mix of different brands. It handled like a real H&K 94 I shot once. Got one on order right now. Can't wait to take my boys plinking with it. -------rr

BOUGHT ONE ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO AND LOVE IT. I HAVE HAD A FEW BULLETS NOT EJECT FROM THE GUN, BUT IT IS PROBABLY DUE TO THE FACT THAT I HAVE ONLY SHOT THE CHEAPEST ROUNDS I CAN FIND THROUGH IT. I SHOOT THE 550 ROUND BOX OF FEDERAL THAT I GET FROM WAL-MART. MY WIFE ALSO LOVES SHOOTING IT, IT IS EASY FOR HER TO HANDLE AND SHE IS A SMALL FRAMED WOMAN (5FT 2IN, 110 LBS +/-). OVERALL, IT IS INEXPENSIVE FUN.

I Just got The GSG-5 and all I can say is wow. I knew this rifle would be fun but I did not expect such trills. Right out of the box this weapon shot 1 1/2 inch groups at 12 to 25 yard. I can't wait to put my red dot on it. The weapon is also simple to operate. The manuel answers all your questons. I have an M-4 but with the price of gas and ammo I can't afford to shoot it much. But with this 22 it's cheap and a blast. I shot 200 rounds with no jams no problems. Only wish it came with two magazines. Please read the manuel as far as cleaning and breaking down the weapon goes. Trust me This rifle will not disapoint.

Great gun 4 moa I.E. 1.2" @ 25 yards. Wish I could find extras. As fast as you can pull the trigger it places rounds. For a thin walled barrel very good. I shot only mini mags rhrough it at first. I then put 400 rds of American Eagle crap down range with out malfunction. Don't grab or rest the rifle on the mag, or a problem will show up. Lots of fun eould be ok taking this one into the woods.

I went into the gun store to look at trap shooting guns,saw the GSG5 and thought it was an MP 5 HK asked the guy to look at it and realized it was a .22 and thought this is cool,paid almost 600 for it(didnt know they were only supposed to cost around 500) took it immediately to the range and fired 500 rounds flawlessley through it,this is an awsome little gun,it is like the Honda S2000 of guns,high quality,great performance,reasonable price,even at the higher price i paid.i will repeat what everyone else said,dont grab it by the mag,and the stocks are kind of cheapish,not a deal breaker but definitely room for improvement.

I carried and qualified with the MP-5 SD in 9mm for many years, and it was a wonderful weapon to fire. I first bought an M-4, and got the .22 conversion kit to fire inexpensive ammo in it. Didn't work all that well. Now, with the GSG-5, we can have the fun of shooting the MP-5 without it costing an arm and a leg. Sure, we don't have the full-auto and 3-shot burst that the real MP-5 had, but this has everything else. The weapon was quite accurate right of the box, and functioned flawlessly with both standard Remington and Winchester high-velocity .22 ammo as well as Stingers and Winchester Super-X .22s.
It was well worth the 3 month wait, and for a fun, functional .22 that looks awesome, it can't be beat.

If they had forgot the permanantly attached fake supressor to meet the 16" barrel length requirement, and used a real, (slimmer), real 16" barrel, I would have bought a couple. For the wannabes, they still could have offered a slip-on fake.

I just back from the range with my new GSG-5. I fired 200 rounds of CCI Mini-Mag High Velocity ammo, and this weapon worked 100 % of the time. No miss-fires or jams, and it held a nice tight groop at 50 feet. As a Police Officer with a lot of trigger time behind a H&K MP-5, I think the GSG-5 is as much fun to shoot...and a lot cheaper. The 200 rouns of CCI ammo cost $ 11.00. No way you can fire 200 rounds of 9mm for eleven bucks....
The only thing I don't like about the GSG-5 is the rear stock. the plastic is not very solid, but I see there are several after market stocks that look stout. The price of the gun was $ 469.00 plus tax, a little high for a 22.
Over all I love my new GSG-5 and can tell it will bring me several years of fun and cheep shooting. Guess I need to save up for a few extra mags and a folding stock.

I love this gun for its reliability and accuracy, It holds a tight group a 200 yds on CCI stinger ammo. I just did its first cleaning at 2000 rds and found out it was easy to disassemble and reassemble. I hope GSG comes out with other great replicas.

Very handy for training in confined spaces since the 22LR requires less Kevlar on walls of cargo containers used to make up mock situation sets. Excellent training weapon for those who use the MP5. Of twenty in use, three had magazine issues after use in the heat due to warpage, since there is nothing holding the magazine together in the centre. Once the magazine issues are corrected we would give this product five stars.

I just purchased mine at a local indoor range, they gave me a free day pass because of my purchase,so I promptly bought 100 rounds of the cheap stuff and a target and gave this new micro-GATzilla a whirl. Out of a hundred rounds,it jammed four times(possibly the cheap ammo),but maintained an amazingly tight group(I should take this thing to the next carnival red star-shoot,I will walk out with all the stuffed animals). I have owned HK 91,94, and 93s over the years and this just fits right in with them,,,just wish the parts would innerchange,,,other than that,,,OUTSTANDING!!

I bought one used, that was totaly filthy, did even clean just took it out, put 1K of cheap cheap ammo through, some old rusty crap from my grandfathers time, ran it all, i live in a very harsh enviroment and need a gun that can do anything anytime. -20deg in the winter and 100+deg in the summer, very dirty desert conditions. This gun is just as reliable as most AK-47's i have. Got about 5 jackrabbit kills so far, this gun rules the quick on the run tripple tap to stop them in their tracks. BUY ONE NOW do eff around get this gun its works great its short manageable light and fast with a high capacity need i say more.

Picked up one in Seattle today to take it shooting with the guys. Everyone was impressed. All my buddies have ARs and this was the gun they wanted to play with. Just used the basic stuff today, but plan to put some subsonics through it later this weekend. Did have one FTE, but I'm pretty sure he was holding the mag, which everyone says not to. I checked out the folding stock, but passed and stuck with the basic one. I did by the optics rail, and I'll probably put a red dot on there in the next month or so. Loving it so far. I'll post again after a thousand rounds.

I purchsaed mine about a month ago and only test fired it at the store/range. (1 gun a month thing ) I picked it up today and put a 550rd box Winchester 22 ammo through it without one hick up. I didn't go for groups because it is too much fun shooting it fast. I'll check out groups later.
Since you folks here do not have any mags in stock or other accessories. Thats why I gave it a 4. I guess I'll search the web for more.

I saw a guy holding one at a gunshop 15 feet away and thought it was a real HK after previously owning an HK 91 and folding stock 94. I looked it over carefully immediately objecting to the open side 22 round box magazine(thought they did away with those after Henry rifle dirty magazine tube spring problems appeared in 1860's). I negotiated an out the door deal for $500 bucks including 1 extra magazine and told the dealer I'd think it over(he received 5 guns that morning, immediately sold one to a state trooper and had 4 left that afternoon. Next morning I decided to buy after reading reviews and learned dealer had only 1 left! Snatching the last gun I loaded up some Wally World Federal milk carton hollowpoints to give it a go . Gun worked fine and recalling some user complaints of jams while holding magazine as a forward grip or even monopod on a rest,tried that and it still functioned fine. Rear sight is iffy but I managed open sight hits offhand on 50 cent sized steel plate spinner at 80 yards.

Truly exceptionial practice rifle. Very accurate. Beware you''ll draw a crowd at the range. Only one jam (ammo failure)in the first 300 rounds but it cleared quickly. Accessories are a little scarce but that will change. Buy it you won''t regret it.

got mine 2 wks ago shot 100 rds in my basement range at 20 yrds rapid fire 2 in grp 20 rnd mag went to the range the next day put 2200 rnds w/my son and bro in law a few hiccups operator error holdind mag and such absolutley love it took it apart looked like a gold pepper mill w/a the brass shavings so i punched the bore and hosed out the bolt w/crc brakleen lubed it up and ill be taking it out again tues w/my daughter and our youth pastor and put it thru the paces again did 6 yrs in the Marine Corp and shot about every weapon on the planet this is one of the most fun guns to shoot right up there w/the mk19 and m2

Waited almost two weeks for the rifle to get back in stock at my local gun shop. picked mine up this morning got 500 rounds of good ammo and was shooting within 15 minutes of walking out the door. The accuracy was excellent and all 500 rounds ran through without a single Jam. all i can say is that it was well worth the wait. I have been a police officer for 14 years and served on SRT / SWAT And this is the closest you can come to a real MP5 Without the 1500 dollar price tag. Get em before the Dems go after the EBR'S Again as this one will surely be on the new improved list

Once I found a good scope to mount on it I havn't missed a target yet. It is very reliable, very accurate, and very awesome! I got mine at a local gunshow for $479.00 plus tax and I havn't regreted it at all. I own a much more accurate bolt action but this is so much more fun to shoot. The only problem that I see is that I want higher capacity magazines than 22 rounders. I hate having to reload so often. Excellent buy and worth every penny even at $500.00!

Saw it at a gun show in Fremont Ne. and after a week of research,I bought one in Lincoln Ne.. I shot 350 rds. through it at a local indoor range using Remington Peters .22 rounds and had a few jams. It cleared quickly for the next round. I found it to be very accurate at 50 and 75 feet. This is one of the best little rifles I have in my collection. I would like to add-on to it and maybe get the pistol version. Very high quality product and worth the money.

I bought both versions (rifle and pistol) and tricked both out to the max with quality tacticl accessories (be prepared to spend some money). They are both head-turners at the range. The only criticisms are that the quality of the fixed stock (both materials and fit)could be a little better and jams occur if any type of contact is made with the magazine while the weapon is fired. Accuracy was very good; the better the quality of the ammo, the better the groups and fewer the jams. The weapons are heavy, robust for their caliber, and sexy. For the money, they can't be beat.

I read up on the GSG-5 about 2 months ago and decided I wanted one. I then realized getting one is a difficult task to say the least. Last fri I called every gun store in NJ and couldn't find a single one. Finally got a hold of a store in philly that had one left. I promptly left work and made the drive.
Next day at the range immediatly everyone stop shooting and stared when I took it out of the case. Put only about 200 rds through not a problem, even when accidently holding the magazine.
Just waiting on my rail and red dot....

I have purchased the GSG-5 rifle.In 100 rounds it jammed twice but stil a very nice firearm. My grandsons love to shoot it. The overall length is perfect for them. They are 8 and 10 years old.

I was happy to buy 2 of the GSG''s when they were in stock. It shoots great and I added the hand grip with laser, and rail with scope. It gets alot of attention and I could have resold both of them already as people have a hard time getting them. TGSCOM is a great company to buy from !

If looks could kill, this one would do it! I love the MP-5 look and the idea of .22 cal plinking. I have thought about a suppressor for it (I have one for my M11/9mm smg) and think it would be a great backyard blaster.

I accidentally found out that the stock butt can be removed by hitting the top portion with the palm of your hand. The space inside the stock can be used for storage.There's a small spring near the ramp that's partly covered by the breech which I think locks the magazine in place. Be careful when cleaning because once you remove the breech this spring is exposed and can fall off if you hit it with a brush.

PAID 550 FOR THE RIFLE, LIKED IT SO MUCH I DROVE THREE HOURS TO BUY THE PISTOL. OVERALL I DROPPED 1400 BUCKS ON THE TWO PLINKERS WHICH IS A LOT FOR a working fellow. However ,when you look at them online, your first thought is...that's cool but I bet its cheaply made. once you handle one, you understand this is not the case. they are more substantial than any 22 I have ever seen. and im a huge fan of the ruger also. the 10/22 is cool...but this is a horse of a different color...and a !!!must have!!!

Shooting any new semi-auto is the same as buying a new street bike! You have to break a new bike in the same as any new semi-auto! Any idiot knows you have to take care of your guns if you want them to work properly! Try spending the money on good quality ammo and oils on this gun and it will work perfect every time! LOVE THIS GUN!!!!!!!!!!

Bought one a month ago and finally took it to the range. I installed a Harris bipod and a Bushnell Holographic Sight. I rapid fired it at a distance of 50 yards using a ShootNC target 5 1/2" round. All were hits, including seven bullseyes. Using a 7" oval target I shot three nines and thirteen tens. It is unbelievably accurate. Lots of fun!

I bought this gun and took it out for target practice. right on target, no misfires, no jams. Even my 16 year old son loves it and he isn't a big gun fan. Might have to go get one for him now for christmas.

Way Cool! Much fun to shoot! Range Master saw and shot it and then gave us a 9mm MP5 to shoot! Shot up all our 9mm! Then spent the rest of the day shooting .22s! More fun and feels better and safer and a whole lot cheaper. Got lots of attention from range members at a Combat Shooting range. Buy the gun with at least two magazines. Four is better if you have someone else to load them! Magazines must be carefully loaded. Slightly out of place rounds will cause lots of jams. Correctly load and no more jams no matter how fast you shoot!

With out a doubt the best clone out. Reliable and surprisingly accurate I have put at least 1000 rounds through it and had relatively no problems. I will shoot just about any 22 round but it does have a problem with some subsonic rounds. But most will still cycle the bolt which is impressive. Plus many add ons, but open the box because some stickers of the condense in the box are wrong and not supported.

This is a great .22 for entertainment purposes. I waited too late to pick one up at the local gun shops, but did manage to find one (and only one!) at the gun show. I got it for $600, then on-line ordered a bipod, scope and two extra mags. I took it to the range for familiarization fire and it worked great. Didn't jam once (ran through 300 rounds) and the sight adjustments were acceptable (firing @ 50 yards). Now I need to get the scope zeroed...I agree that it is a 'head turner' at the range, and you can't argue the economy of firing .22 rounds. If you're going to spring for a .22 rifle, just for fun to add to the collection, this is worth the money.

As I retired LE Firearms Instructor I was looking for something to help me stay sharp on my backyard gun range, without spending a fortune on ammo and the GSG5 fit the bill perfectly. I decided to put it to the ultimate torture test so I put nearly 3000 rounds through it without any cleaning. It started having some stoppages around 2000 rounds and there were significant stoppages at 2500 and above. I cleaned it and it went back to having few if any problems. Perhaps I got a "lucky gun", but if I keep it clean it works great.

Bought one today which had a 22 round mag. Bought a second 22 round mag and went streight to the range. Shot a 500 round box of Winchter Wild Cats throu it. Had a jam about every other magazine about one jam per 50 rounds. Made sure to rotate magazines to eliminate chances the jams were because of a bad magazine. Still had a blast with it and it turned heads all day. Had several people ask me about it and where to get one. Like it a lot. Not sorry in the least I bought it.

Got it, grabbed it, ran my fingers all over it. 6 inches of snow on the ground. Went anyway with a sack of mixed stuff up to 15 years old. Crammed the 22 round mags full to 23 and opened 'er up! Flawless and I was pleasantly shocked at the accuracy. I was cracking clay pigeons at 30-40 yards set up on a canyon rim right out of the box. Wooooo hoooo, and I'm an old man that needs new glasses. This is a Walter Mitty special and I'm hoping and praying it keeps it up for the next 10,000 rounds. Fun. Fun. My MP5 fantasy has become reality.

I was plinking at the range when the range master carried the gsg5 out to me. I was using my M9 so I thought he had a mp5 so I could burn all my 9mm ammo and buy some of theirs. Much to my supprise he told me it was a 22. He proceded to load the clip with some rounds that I had on the table from my 22 marlin that my friend was using. After a quick inspection I let her rip down range and was pleasently suprised at the lack of recoil. After about 8 shots i got a FTE but it was quickly solved and we got back to shooting. I do not blame the gsg5 for the failure due to the fact that the gun looked like it had never been cleaned ever and was a range gun. I will be buying the first one I can get my hands on (prob trading in my 7mm mag for it). Cant beat the price of 22 rounds.

Somebody ordered one at the shop and then opted for the pistol instead. I jumped on the rifle and love it. It feels a lot sturdier than I expected and has amazing accuracy. I put 400 rounds through it with no failures. I am so psyched and am now considering the SBR/Suppressor option. A great little rifle that is a lot of fun and cheap to shoot. I recommend it to anyone.

Bad day at the range Sunday. Took my wife and my grandaughter. Made the mistake of letting them shoot my GSG-5. They loved it and all I got to do the whole day was load magazines. After about 3 to 4 hours they decided to let me shoot but we had run through all six bricks of CCI Blazor so that was that. Cleaned it real good during the week before we went to the range and had only 2 jams not related to the shooter grabbing the magazine so cleaning it really helped in the jam department.

I had previously written the article about the CSG5 Rifle, by Disappointed. Well things have changed! The manufacturer came out with a riveted extractor and I was fortunate enough to have had one installed in my rifle as a beta test. The jamming stopped and it is functioning flawlessly!
I have been able to shoot any type of .22 long rifle ammunition, as the gunsmith at the repair facility told me. It isn’t necessary to purchase more expensive CCI .22 long rifle stinger or magnum ammo to have the gun function properly.
My understanding is that the manufacturer has begun installing this improved extractor in all of their new rifles and handguns according to the dealer I made my purchase through.
If you are having jamming problems, then I recommend you send the rifle in for repair and retrofitting.

Bought mine about 1 1/2 years ago. I was very suprised with the accuracy. Didn''t expect it to be as acurate as it was. However, I did get some infrequent hang-ups. 1:150 rounds, some where in that neighborhood. I have been shooting the cheapest rounds ]solid lead[ which may be a factor. Magazines are a expensive, ~ $40, but no more expensive than any other manufactor.

I bought mine about a week ago and didnt get to shoot it untill today one of the funnest 22s i have ever been shot. we put 325 lead shots through the barrle and only one hang up but at the time it hung up it sounded like it was a full-auto. I was able to put 20 of 22 in a 4in circle at about 20-25 yard shooting it as fast as i could not bad...... best part is we shot as much as we wanted to today for 15 buck.... My cuz and his AR-15 cant say that $$$
